She wasn’t really sure about this. It’s not like Tsadi thought she could break a full grown dragon or anything, but she was a little nervous. How much pressure was too little, too much? Could you overdo it? She should probably be pacing herself, come to think of it. It’s not like dragons were small. At least she wasn’t alone, though.
There was no shame as she glanced at the other candidate with a brazen grin. “So, this is my first time bathing a dragon. Any tips?” She didn’t stop, though, as she worked. Better to undergo a little tease or so now than hurt the dragon or become deadweight just because she couldn’t ask a question or two. Right?

You've picked just the right person to ask, Tsadi. Zayin's weyrborn and bred, and she'd be glad to lecture you- er, pass on her wisdom.
"So the trick to it is to use enough pressure to get them clean," and she starts to pour oil onto the rag she's holding. "They're pretty tough, so don't worry too much about hurting them. Except the wings- those are more fragile. You'll want to be gentle with those. You'll want to use a cloth with oil even when you're washing them, and oil them again after they're dry. They'll crack between if anything gets too dry."
She pauses to take a breath. "I'm Zayin, by the way."

Well, Zayin, you have Tsadi's full attention now. And, well, that may or may not be a good thing.
Either way, at least she was doing as had been explained now. Pulling her own weight, and all that. It didn't keep her from sparing the occasional glance, though, and she smiled at the name. "Zayin is a pretty name. I'm Tsadi." She paused, at least somewhat vigilant about her work, because who wants to be reported for doing a bad job?
"Have you been here long? I haven't." There. That was a pretty harmless question, wasn't it?

"Thanks," though it feels a little awkward. It's one thing to be complimented for your appearance or intelligence, but a name? She didn't choose it, but still, it's polite to say thank you, so she does. Maybe she's overthinking. She works on scrubbing the dragon, not letting her attention wander too much.
"I'm weyrbred, actually," the words fly easily from her lips, she's never once regretted or been uncomfortable with being weyrborn. It's not the sort of upbringing most on Pern have, but that doesn't seem that important. "Which hold are you from?"

Tsadi notices the tone, and it gives her an excuse to look more closely at the other woman. A smile lights up her face when she's asked the question, and she tries to give a light response. "Oh, I'm from Sapphire Hold." She doesn't feel like talking about herself as much as learning, though. Not at the moment. "What was it like, growing up in the Weyr?" This other candidate didn't seem self-conscious about the subject, so Tsadi assumed it would be just fine to ask.
