It was quiet enough out, mid-afternoon or so, with little to do but sit and digest lunch. Both Tasath and Nazene were slightly stuffed, Tasath in such a condition because like all baby dragons, he had a tenancy to overeat, Nazene because her tailed genes in particular made her eat relatively infrequently (in comparison to some) and she tended to want to nap afterwards.
Or maybe that was just because Tasath, so heavily wound around her mind, was about near passing out, the little red's eyes flickering closed very few seconds, leaning heavily into his rider as she tried to get him back to their quarters so he could have a proper nap. That in and of itself was making Nazene rather sleepy, and she wished he'd stop yawning so bloody much... it was infectious. The normally vibrant mindvoice of the red was subdued and somehow slurred like it was difficult for the young creature to manage coherent thought.
He stopped, yawned again, and told her he was really very tired, and could he pleeease just nap a little bit? His belly was full and it was warm...
"Tas, love, no. Come on, we've got to get back to the room...you can't fall asleep in the middle of the hallway."
Can't I...?
Too late. The red curled up on the floor and went to sleep.
Nazene huffed, and looked around, wondering exactly what she should do. He was yet young enough that he wasn't really in the way, and it was a rather lesser-used hallway, so they weren't in the way, but come on. The snake-tailed girl sighed again, and dejectedly slumped against the wall to sit next to her dragon. Well, it would appear she wasn't going anywhere for a while, didn't it?
So she tugged her cloak closer around herself, and occupied herself with some stretches while she waited for Tas to come around again He was a baby, wouldn't take long, no more'n an hour, she hoped.
((UH. Yeah.))
